Hiring Felons

Posted By Kelly G. Singleton, Plant Human Resource Manager, Monday, August 3, 2015

I think it depends on your specific company policy. However, the company attorney at one of my prior jobs told me if the felony was not related to the job the employee would be doing, it may be alright to hire the person.

For instance, if I were hiring someone to be a cashier, I would not want someone with a felony that involved stealing. I might, on the other hand, consider that person as a production worker.
